Position Title: Grant Writer (Contract/Part-Time)
Position Overview:
Are you a passionate and experienced Grant Writer looking to make a meaningful impact? Join our mission-driven team as we work to support women and children escaping domestic violence and homelessness.
Our organization is revitalizing operations at our 24/7 crisis shelter to provide safe, compassionate, and comprehensive care. To ensure we have the funding to sustain and grow these life-saving services, we are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to help us identify funding opportunities and craft compelling grant proposals.
Reporting Relationship:
The Grant Writer reports directly to the Board of Directors, serving as the key liaison between the board and potential donors and public entities. Collaboration with various stakeholders is essential to ensure the effective implementation of Alpha House's mission.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources

Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and reports

Collaborate with leadership to align proposals with program needs and goals

Track deadlines, outcomes, and reporting

Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, as well as compliance with the policies and directives established by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:

Proven success in securing funding through grants (non-profit or related field)

Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills

Familiarity with issues related to domestic violence, homelessness, and crisis care is a plus

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience
